V&A Museum - Love the idea of designer tours…

The V&A welcomes the London Design Festival a nine day festival that celebrates London as the creative capital of the world.
Love the idea of designer tours… you pick up a map at a museum entrance and use it to follow a tour created by a chosen personality and taking in their favourite objects. A great way to explore and see the museum in a new light – I shall be going and I will report back with my finds…

Max Lamb commission for the London Design Festival installation at the V&A

Max Lamb at the HSBC central office at 78 St James' St, London, casting part of the building to create his commission for the London Design Festival installation at the V&A. Inspired by the museum's famous Cast Court collection, Lamb proposes to create a cast replica of part of the building, which he will then hand carve using a hammer and chisel into the shape of a bench, creating a place for people visiting the museum to sit and connect with each other.www.maxlamb.org Photography by Santiago Posada View more images Max Lamb
